Katherine Simon
My art is both my escape and my home. Through the stroke of a brush or the scratch of a pencil, I can translate thoughts, emotions, and memories into something visible and tangible. What begins as an idea in my mind becomes a physical presence, grounding experiences that might otherwise drift away.
Creating art allows me to process the world around me and within me. Each piece carries fragments of personal history, moments of introspection, and emotional landscapes shaped by memory and feeling. I am drawn to the act of making as a form of discovery, where intuition guides my hands and meaning reveals itself through the process.
By sharing my work, I invite others into these spaces with me. I hope viewers can briefly step outside of their own realities and enter another world, even if only for a short moment. My goal is to engage the senses and evoke emotion, creating an experience that feels immersive and reflective. Ultimately, I want my work to offer a sense of connection and elevation, stirring feelings that exalt the mind and spirit.
